Youth training Tuesday at the Astroturf

We will be training on the Astroturf at Ashleigh road from this Tuesday October 5th from 8.30 to 9.30 . Please be there for 8.15 and do not forget to bring training boots.

Mumbles v Felinfoel cancelled

Sorry to everyone who turned up at Bishopston School on saturday for our game against Felinfoel . As you know Felinfoel rung me at 13.30 while we were going into the changing rooms to say that they could not get a team and calling the game off . This is the second time that they have called games against us off . It is a pity they did not have the decency to let us know earlier as Llanelli Wanderers rang me on Thursday for a game and I said that Felinfoel were sure they could field a team .

Mumbles youth v Felinfoel/Hendy youth Sat 2nd Oct

We have organised a friendly game for Sat 2nd October , home to a joint Felinfoel/ Hendy youth team . We will be playing at Bishopston Comprehensive School and meeting at the school at 1.15 for a 2.30 kick-off. We are hoping to give all boys who have had no game time or little game time , a game .

Pontardulais 0 Mumbles 27

Another win on the road , with 1st half tries from Andrew Claypole , Alex Turnbull , Alex Wade and Matt Sullivan , 1 converted by Andrew Claypole before being taken off with concussion . The 1st half score was a bit flattering as we didn"t really play all that well . We made several changes for the 2nd half and these changes in no way weakened the side , in fact we have such a strong large squad this year that there are at least 2 players fighting for EVERY position . We scored 1 try in the second half by Jake Newington and could have scored more if some of the boys did not have tunnel vision and white line fever . The best part was not conceding any points . Well done to everyone involved .

sed in training next Thursday night .

Mumbles youth 10 Dunvant youth 22

A hard game against a very experienced Dunvant team , many who played for the 1sts and 2nds last weekend. We managed to get 29 boys game time to give the coaches a lot of selection problems . Not one of the players who took the pitch last night backed down against the much bigger and more experienced pack . The future looks very bright for the youth team . Well done to everyone .

Another good turn out , a lot of last year"s u16s managed to get some valuable game time . Ollie Dickerson scored 2 tries , Andrew Claypole converted 1 and Will Thomas scored 2 penalties. Well done boys as they had a very big pack and our forwards coped well.
